Our Vision: To foster a passion for the performing arts

Our Mission: To educate and enrich the cultural life of the area we serve by providing quality live entertainment

LIVE! in Lexington was formed in the spring of 2003, and our first concert was held that fall. We will begin our 9th season in October of 2011. Live in Lexington Concert Series, Inc., is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization. Donations to LIVE! in Lexington are deductible to the extent permitted by the tax code.

The 2011-2012 season will consist of four varied programs, entertainment suitable for all ages.

We work in partnership with Live On Stage in Nashville, TN. Live On Stage auditions hundreds of acts from which we choose our slate of performances each year. Live on Stage contracts with the performers for us, and we take it from there.

Primarily a membership organization, LIVE! in Lexington is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors who manage the entire program. Most performances are held in the chapel auditorium at Wentworth Military Academy in a local partnership supporting the arts in Lexington. On occasion, shows are presented in neighboring venues.

Every effort is made to market our concerts to the region surrounding Lexington. We strive to provide the highest quality of entertainment in a relaxed atmosphere and safe environment. Parking is free, and the utmost effort is made to accommodate our members and guests.

The STAR Education program is a major outreach component of our concert series. The visiting artists with LIVE! in Lexington Concert Series present their professional programs and workshops at area schools. This educational outreach is made possible solely by the generosity of the Kramer Endowment Fund, a part of our outreach to the schools and the community.
